Heritage on wheels

This newly introduced luxury train takes you on the journey of the colorful regions of Shekhawati and Bikaner in Rajasthan. These regions of Rajasthan are virtually unexplored and theHeritage on wheels gives you the opportunity to explore and see the high quality frescos in this open air art gallery of this state of many shades Rajasthan.

The Heritage on wheels has 14 coaches and is fully air-conditioned. The ambiance is typically ethnic.

It includes two restaurants Maharaja and Maharani which serve authentic Rajasthani food as well as other cuisines. 
  
There is a lounge bar which serves as a relaxer after a heavy day of sight seeing.

The saloons can accommodate 8 guests in 4 bedrooms with two bathrooms for each saloon.

The sight seeing is by deluxe buses and there is also a jeep safari at the sanctuary. The guides are all well trained.

The staff is extremely helpful and accommodating.

This tour is for 3 nights and 4 days.
The places covered in this tour are Jaipur-Bikaner-Haat-Gajner-Tal Chhapar-Ramgarh-Nawalgarh-Mandawa-Jaipur.

Schedule

Day 1

Arrival at Jaipur railway station. The train starts at 18:30 hrs. The journey to Bikaner starts with drinks and Dinner on board the Heritage on wheels.

Day 2

Arrival at Bikaner in the morning, after that you have your breakfast. The tour of the city starts with the Fort which is a sight to be seen, there are a lot of monuments which convey the richness of the culture of this magnificent place. After checking the heritage of this place it is time to indulge your self with some shopping and a scrumptious lunch on board the train. After lunch its time to head for the famed Camel Farm, which is known for its exceptional riding camels. Then head for Lalgargh palace, where you will savor high tea, after that its time to head for Gajner for a bite to eat and then head back to Bikaner.

Day 3

You will be arriving at Padhiyar Railway station. After breakfast you will visit Tal Chhapar and do some major sights seeing afterwards you depart for Bird Sanctuary and take time out to do some bird spotting, and then you will go to Ramgarh which is an oasis located in the middle of this arid desert. The Mandawa Havelis and Cenotaphs are a must see, these are ornately designed and decorated Havelis with frescoes painted walls in interesting designs. The lunch is in Mandawa with the Rajasthani touch quiet evident all around you.
Then its time to depart for Nawalgarh which has a historic fort built in 1737, the hustle and bustle of this place is seen to be believed.
 It is time to board the Heritage on wheels at Roop Niwas. The time is here to kick back and relax with a dry martini and a delicious dinner.
 
 Day 4

Arrival at Jaipur early in the morning and after breakfast disembarks from the Heritage on wheels.

This train is bi-weekly, starting on Tuesday and Friday as well.

 Tariff can change without any prior notice

10% surcharge is levied on departures on Christmas and New Year.

 Half fare only for children between 5 to 12 years of age.

   Cancellation

Cancellation must be faxed, e-mailed or given in written to the proper authorities.
Refund will be given after certain deductions as per the schedule.

There is no adjustment or refund in event of the cancellation of the journey by the person after the commencement of the tour.
